If you are not lucky enough to live locally to Perthshire and the beautiful countryside, rivers and lochs that abound through this stunning part of Scotland, you will probably need to find a place to stay when booking lessons, or a guided day fishing with us. We have chosen a select few options that we think deliver a quality experience, great service, have wonderful staff, and are close to the waters we teach on.

Much of our Spey casting lessons take place on the river Tay in the grounds of this beautiful hotel, by kind permission of the owners. If that wasn't a good enough reason to stay here, how about the fact that it is beautifully appointed, intimate and cosy, with great food and wonderfully helpful, welcoming staff. As they say on their website, this place provides "a warm Scottish welcome with a decidedly French flourish", and we love it!

The closest hotel to us, and to some of the trout fisheries we teach on, is the Glendevon Hotel, situated in the small town of Auchterarder. Auchterarder offers a charming blend of boutique shops, historic architecture, inviting cafés, and easy access to some of Scotland’s finest golf, walking routes, and country pursuits. Yet it retains a warm, village feel—a place where modern life and centuries of heritage sit comfortably side by side.
The Glendevon is a warm, welcoming, and authentically Scottish hotel with price friendly rates, and just a short stroll from the historic High Street. It is surrounded by rolling countryside, has a lively bar, 8 well appointed rooms, and offers a wonderful blend of relaxed charm and modern comfort.
