If you ever wanted to go on a trip to a new and exciting fly fishing destination, but are uncertain of the fishery, don’t have the gear to use, or are worried about the reliability of this trip, join Simon on one of his hosted trips.
Simon works closely with Fly Water Travel, a fly fishing specific travel agency that has access to some of the finest waters, lodges and destinations on the planet. When you join one of Simon’s trips, you will be assured of a great destination, and have him on hand to help with any fishing techniques, fly casting skills, and gear needs you might have.

Simon has hosted trips to Russia, Iceland, Norway, Scotland, and the Gaspe region of Canada for Atlantic salmon; Alaska, British Columbia and the US for Steelhead and Pacific Salmon; Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) for monster sea trout; Patagonia, Idaho, and Montana for trout, and Cuba, Mexico, and Belize for permit, tarpon and bonefish.
He has a wealth of experience and knowledge of these fisheries and is an excellent companion and host to have with you. When you join Simon on one of his hosted trips he will fish with you at least one session, help you with any casting lessons needed, and will have plenty of spare "just in case" gear with him in case you aren't equipped for the conditions.

The Gaspe area of Quebec is famed for its incredibly clear rivers where you can sight fish to big, fresh, chrome-bright Atlantic salmon, and even do so with a dead drifted dry fly - what better way of catching a big salmon is there than that?

This early season trip is to the famed "Pavilion Lodge" on the banks of one of the finest rivers in the province of Québec. A unique experience which gives you exclusive access rights to St-Jean River, particularly esteemed by salmon-fishing enthusiasts over more than 150 years.
We have selected this late May/early June date to target the big, early run springers that often exceed 30lbs in weight. There are few better fish to catch on a fly than a beautiful, fat, incredibly strong, bright silver Atlantic salmon in excess of 25lbs , and they will be in the river system at this time of year.

A remarkably diverse fishery, the Kanektok River is perfectly suited to both single-hand and Spey rod angling. This is truly one of Alaska’s premier opportunities to target both king salmon and silvers on the fly.

What makes the fishing experience especially unique is that in addition to having some of the best access to chrome bright salmon, there is a tremendous rainbow trout fishery in both the lower and upper river. Kanektok River leopard rainbows are very top-water oriented, easily enticed with a mouse pattern skimming across the surface. High catch rates, easy wading and open back-casts are the norm.
We have selected the last week of July as it is the very best week to target all 5 species of pacific salmon, the famed Leopard trout, sea run dolly's and the wonderful arctic grayling - what a smorgasbord of fish, fun and and action this promises to be.

There is no better sea trout fishery in the world than the famed Rio Grande in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
Simon used to guide here in the mid 1990's and knows the river, the fish and the techniques intimately. Since giving up guiding, he returns every year over the same dates, and has been doing so for the last 6 years. These trips alway

Simon used to guide here in the mid 1990's and knows the river, the fish and the techniques intimately. Since giving up guiding, he returns every year over the same dates, and has been doing so for the last 6 years. These trips always sell out fast, and so in 2026 Simon added a 2nd week to his calendar. The first week is fished on the lower river out of the fabulous "Villa Maria" Lodge, while the 2nd week moves a little further upstream to "Despedida Lodge" - home to the hardest working, best guides on the river, and, arguably, the best holding pools on the system.
We have selected this early January date to target the big, early run, bright silver sea trout that enter the river on their long journey to the spawning grounds. It is simply the very best time to target these giant, chrome bright sea trout, often in excess of 20lbs.
